In honour of the outgoing Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Sohra, Shri.Ajay Singh Tomer, IAS, the Officers and Staff of the O/o Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), O/o The Treasury Officer, Sohra, alongwith other Sub-Divisonal Officers, viz., Shri. L.Kynjing, MCS, Block Development Officer, Shri. I.O Swer, MPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Sohra, Shri.V.Nianglang, Sub Divisional School Education Officer, Sohra, Shri J.C. Paul, Sub Registrar Co-operative Society, Sohra, Shri. H.S Kharpran, Project Manager, Cherra Ecological Project, Sohra and well-wishers of Sohra staged a warm farewell on Thursday 12th March 2015 in the Conference Hall. The function was chaired by Shri.Nipon Hajong, MCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner.
Several speakers on the occassion, comprising mostly of Officers of the amalgamated Offices eulogised the outgoing Officer higlighting his services.
While thanking for the warm and generous gesture, the outgoing SDO Shri.Ajay Singh Tomer was of opinion, that he was priviledged to be posted in Sohra . He also expressed his appreciation and thankfulness to the support and co-operation he enjoyed from the Officers and Staff during his stint in Sohra. Recalling his six month tenure in Sohra Civil Sub-Division as the most peaceful, the Officer opined that, it was all possible due to the support of one and all for which he will always remain grateful he said.
The programme was closed by a vote of thanks by Shri.Nipon Hajong, MCS, EAC which was followed by light refreshment.
